  1. Really? Mark Driscoll said this?? hehe Yeah, I bet he’s just chompin’ at the bit to sit at the feet of Rob Bell! BWA-HA-HA-HA

Mark Driscoll is full of it. what he MEANS is that other people ought to be more humble so they can learn more from him. What a maroon.

Sorry, J.S., didn’t mean to hijack. I just cannot stand Driscoll. :-\

    1. It’s cool, I know a lot of people don’t like Driscoll. I was very mixed on him too.

I recently heard him preach live a few times and do a Q&A, and at least from where I sat, I could see he really does love Jesus and loves people. He’s also changed a lot from his early 30’s and he’s apologized for his own actions multiple times. He’s over 40 now with five growing kids and I genuinely believe he’s much more of a father now than he was when he first started. His recent preaching has shown a very gracious tone that was very much not there before. Yet I also appreciate his strong opinions and his willingness to be fun when so many pastors can be uptight and rigid. But again, I can understand why some wouldn’t like him (just like some wouldn’t prefer me either). In any case, I consider him a brother in Christ and he’s certainly in need of grace like we all are.

      1. Well, I’m glad to hear those comments about him. Shocked would be more truthful. 😉 And yes, we all need grace, that’s for certain. But in my experience with Driscoll, he’s all about the LAW. I sure hope his judgments don’t come back to bite him through his kids, though. I can tell you from experience that it’s a b**ch when that happens. lol
