I was addicted to pornography for 9 years. And I sometimes struggle with it, but I can rest assured it’s not an addiction anymore. And I’m a female.

Amen, sister! Thank you for sharing this. You’re proof that despite the struggle, we can beat the addiction and move on to better. Here’s to more and more victory in Him.

I am a 20y.o female who has I wouldn’t say struggled but had through my early childhood and early teen years experienced and performed masturbation. I did not know what I was doing until I reached my early teen years and it was then that I realised that although it was never sexually stimulated, it was still sexually related and fulfilling a desire that I knew should be kept for marriage. I handed it over to God and completely stopped, I haven’t masturbated in 4 yrs and know Romans 8:1 is true.

Whoa praise God! Again, I absolutely love stories of victory and it shows that we CAN overcome through Christ. Especially about waiting for marriage: that’s something we often miss too. Our choices now will affect every phase of life moving forward. Your testimony is a blessing and I’m sure will encourage many.

Even though I haven’t completely overcome my pornography/masturbation addiction, I’ve found that, as I’ve started to get up early in the morning to read my Bible and pray and just dedicate myself to drawing closer to God, the physical desire has begun to fade. I’ll be in the middle of watching/doing and all of a sudden, lose complete interest in it. So, Soli Deo Gloria even when I’m a wretched sinner.

Amen! Thank you for your total honesty. It can be a slow and painful process, and I pray that a few tough moments won’t stop your momentum. Morning Bible-reading is also WAY underrated and as legalistic as it sounds, we should beg the Holy Spirit to ignite that desire and then just dive into Scripture.

God bless your continued fight. Gives us hope!
